Silvina Moreno is a young, breakthrough singer and songwriter from Argentina, who has been quickly garnering much attention in the thriving music scene of Buenos Aires. She alters her bilingual shows between two cities: New York and Buenos Aires.
Silvina has shared the stage with revered musicians Bobby McFerrin, Michael McDonald, Juan Luis Guerra and Jorge Drexler, and has been the opening act in front of thousands for Brazilian pioneer Gilberto Gil, Mavis Staples, Molotov, Little Boots and Dirty Projectors. Her first single, “Puede Ser” has been chosen for Argentina’s most popular television series “Mi Amor, Mi Amor”, and she has been interviewed by all major TV and radio stations ever since.
Released in November 2012, Silvina’s first album, “Mañana” has been reviewed on About.com and described as “the kind of album the more you listen to, the better it gets”. Rooted in South American singer-songwriter influences, the album is a combination of indie pop and folk. With weekly performances in a variety of different shows, her popularity has already spread to over 8,000 fans on her Facebook Page within 6 months of the album release.
